Originally part of the CBP3 Vol 1 pack.
A tech facility bought by the Liandri Corp and converted for Warfare. Too dangerous for the normal citizens but just right for the psychotic combatants of the Liandri Tournament. There’s some surprises in this map that give it that added extra.
The layout feels more like a CTF map than a warfare map. The only vehicle that spawns is a Manta that spawns near the countdown node. The Manta is locked to whatever team controls the node. Also when the node is captured, the enemy base’s airlock is triggered killing anyone inside. Also a centre route for the Manta opens up to the prime node. This makes the gameplay more interesting and malicious.
Playercount is set at 10 to 12 and that feels right. I did notice bots waiting for doors to open even when there was a fight going on behind them. This led to a little frustration as I could have done with some support. On the whole though they behave themselves.
Weapons and pickups were good and the U-Damage is welcome.
Performance 19/30 (Hardware)
Not the best. It fluctuates between 25 and 35. I have a feeling the level isn’t streamed properly.
Eye Candy 18/25
The level feels a little too open and empty. This is to allow room for the Manta but the high ceilings made the scaling feel off. Views from the windows are nice and the special effects and sounds are good. The lighting is a little on the bland side. It’s a bit too well lit for the amount and size of the lights.
The Details 15/15
All present and correct
Final Score 78/100
A map with some great original ideas but unfortunately bugs with the bots and performance issues keep the score down.
