Nearly Finished

I’ve only got a couple more reviews of the CBP3 Vol 1 Pack to do.  I hope to have them posted by Friday.

I’ve had word from Hunter that he’s still trying to work on the proper version of UT Unlimited.  Keep submitting those maps for review.  The longer the list the more I can review.  Plus I have help I can ask if the list gets too long so don’t worry about that.

RSI.

I think I’m developing permanent cramp not to mention RSI that will take days to calm down.  I’ve never typed so much before.  All good stuff though and it won’t be long until I’ve finished the CBP3 Vol2 pack.  It’s great that there is interest building in this site BTW; Keep those map subs coming.

The Unreal community seems to be coming alive recently.  More and more custom stuff appearing.

Have a browse here at the BeyondUnreal forums and you’ll soon see what I mean.  Try a single player mod for UT3, Prometheus.

Voting Rights

You’ve probably noticed the poll on the right hand side.  I’ve also added one to each review.  This allows you to rate the map (preferably after you’ve played it).

I’ve got stuck into the reviews of the CBP3 Vol 2 Pack.  I’m giving each map a full review and then I will give an overall score of the pack with an honorable mention of the models.

The guys over at Runestorm have released a great model pack for UT3.  These are really high quality and I would urge you to download them now.  They have also done other work for UT3.

Fancy some Gears of War objects and meshes to use for you next level design project?  Well now you can.  Over on this thread at BU forums, UX.Loki has managed to convert the assets from Gears of War so they can be used in UT3.  I think we can look forward to some more variety in the maps.

Big Job Ahead

If you were to have a quick look at the map sub page you’ll see that Icecreamyou has subbed the new CBP3 Vol2.  I’ve said I’ll review them but it will take a few days so please bear with me.  If you can’t wait for it then you can download it here at the CBP3 site.

Icecreamyou has also got his own site.  On that site is an extensive list of UED3 and 4 tutorials.  These should answer many questions about the editor and map design in general.

I’ve posted a poll on the right hand side.  Tell me what you think of this site.  I’d really appreciate it

Tumbleweeds

Not many reviews recently but that’s because only one has been submitted in the last couple of days. If you know a mapper then please encourage them to submit their map.  The upside, though, is progress within Quatro.

Some good news the Community Bonus Pack 3 will be released next week.  Also new custom content on the way of meshes, textures etc is on the way from Drachis.  This popped up over on the BU forums and it looks pretty good.  Hopefully he’ll release the release version soon.

Still thinking about the podcasts.  Time is my main enemy on this one.  Plus the ability to do this regularly.
